Cookie Policy

Effective Date: March 19, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Engauge uses, and how you can manage your preferences. It applies to the Engauge platform at engauge.app.

Questions? Email support@engauge.app.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're logged in, your preferences, or how you navigated the site.

Cookies are not the only technology used for similar purposes. We also use similar storage mechanisms like `localStorage` for certain preferences. This policy covers all such technologies collectively.

2. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are necessary for Engauge to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. We use essential cookies for:

Purpose

Description

Authentication session

Keeps you logged in while you use Engauge. Cleared when you log out or your session expires.

Theme preference

Remembers whether you've selected light or dark mode.

Cookie consent preference

Stores your cookie consent choices so we don't ask you repeatedly.

These cookies do not collect personal information for marketing or tracking purposes.

3. Analytics Cookies

We plan to use analytics cookies to understand how people use Engauge — such as which features are most used, where users encounter friction, and how the product can be improved. These cookies are only set with your consent.

Current status: An analytics provider has not yet been selected. This section will be updated when analytics are integrated, and a new consent prompt will be shown at that time.

When active, analytics cookies may include:

Purpose

Description

Usage tracking

Records pages visited, time spent, and feature interactions.

Session analysis

Aggregates session-level data to identify usage patterns.

Analytics data is used solely to improve the Engauge platform. We do not use it for advertising.

4. Marketing Cookies

Engauge does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. We reserve the right to introduce these in the future, in which case this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before any marketing cookies are set.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some features of Engauge rely on third-party services that may set their own cookies:

  • Supabase — used for authentication. Supabase may set session-related cookies as part of the auth flow. See [Supabase's Privacy Policy](https://supabase.com/privacy).
  • Stripe — used for subscription billing. Stripe may set cookies on billing-related pages. See [Stripe's Privacy Policy](https://stripe.com/privacy).

We do not control third-party cookies and are not responsible for how those providers use them. Refer to their respective privacy policies for details.

6. Managing Your Preferences

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit Engauge, a cookie consent banner will appear. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies at that time.

Cookie Preferences Link

You can review and update your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of the engauge.app website.

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent Engauge from functioning correctly — for example, you will not be able to stay logged in.

Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions:

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new technologies or change how we use existing ones. Material updates — such as introducing analytics or marketing cookies — will be accompanied by a new consent prompt. The current policy is always available at engauge.app/cookies.
